Parent Coaching Video-Conference Session FAQs

 

1.  How do I sign up for Parent Coaching?

You can sign up for a Parent Coaching Session through our online portals (Behavior, Gross Motor, Speech, Sensory, or Feeding). Each discipline has its own portal. If you are unsure of which discipline to select, choose the one that you think best fits your child’s needs. Our Development Specialists will be able to assist you during the call with your concerns/questions.

2.  What payments do you accept?

We accept payments through PayPal.  You can either use a PayPal account to purchase or you can use your credit card (Visa, Discover, Mastercard) through PayPal.

3.  How do I cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel an appointment, you can do so by emailing Barbara Mitchell at [email protected]. Please note that any cancellation that occurs less than 24 hours from the scheduled appointment time will not be refunded.

4.  Can I reschedule my appointment?

If you need to reschedule an appointment, you can do so by emailing Barbara Mitchell at [email protected]. Please note that you cannot reschedule within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.

5.  What do I need to do prior to the appointment?

Prior to your video consultation, you need to do a few things.

First – Download the video conferencing software to your computer. You can download it by clicking here.

Second – You MUST fill out the HIPAA Compliance Forms. You will receive a link to the form via email upon successful sign up. Additionally, you can access the forms here. The password to access the form is EIS2014XG41. Please include some information about your child and your initial question for the Development Specialist. This will help them prepare for the session appropriately.

6.  What do I use to video-conference with the development specialist?

The video-conference will be held by way of a Software Program called VSee. Vsee is the premier video-conferencing platform available for telemedicine. Not only is it HIPAA compliant, it is a breeze to use and allows for document-sharing.

The following requirements are necessary for the video-conference: PC OR Mac OR Tablet with a camera and speaker functionality.

 7.  What if I don’t have a video camera on my computer?

If you do not have a video camera on your computer, you can still take part in the Parent Coaching Consultations. You will be able to see our Development Specialist, however they will just hear your voice.

 8.  What if the connection drops during my conference?

If you are experiencing difficulty with the establishment of the video call, both parties should Restart VSee. For issues with audio/video quality, refer to VSee Support Center FAQ Guide, Troubleshooting. To transmit a text during the video call, utilize VSee Instant Messaging (Live Chat).
